Just picked up my Toyota 1986 Land Cruiser, lots of metal work done, a lot of disassembly, and great paint work. All around Mark and the guys (Gerard) did a fantastic job. There are not many shops around that can do restoration work like this.

For many people, finding a company that will guide you through the auto restoration process can be daunting and can feel  as arbitrary as flipping through the internet pages until you find one that "feels right".  Then it becomes a roll of the dice on quality and professionalism.  If you are looking for a friendly recommendation, then bring your car to Northpoint in Westbury NY.  Marc and his entire team are detail oriented, thoughtful and trustworthy – clearly communicating upfront and throughout the project to keep you in the loop.  They did an amazingly thorough job, I couldn’t endorse any higher.


I brought my 1986 Mercedes 300GD in to Northpoint to get “cleaned up”, as the truck was my “getaway” car at my wedding so it needed to look great. Marc and his guys were up to the task – completing among other things - rust patches/refinishes along seams, windshield welds, door areas and they pinch welded a new rocker panel on as well. They also painted all the trim pieces, bedlined the skid plate and wet sanded the entire truck which literally made the 34 year old Mercedes look brand new. Additionally, they are located in a cluster of shops that specialize in upholstery, wheels, electronics, etc so they are willing to quarterback a lot from there for you as well. For example, I needed some of the original brown check fabric for the seats, vinyl for the A pillars, my wheels refinished (they had been painted black), and new tires - they coordinated it all, communicated along the way,  and it looks awesome.  And they got it done in time for the wedding!

The North Point team recently finished my third restoration project with them and once again I am very pleased with the results.  This custom rotisserie restoration required difficult rust repair (done properly with hand formed metal patches) as well as fabricated custom touches such as the front and rear spoilers.  To top off the laser straight bodywork, deep black paint with extensive hand laid graphics and ghosted stripes was painstakingly applied.  Besides vintage car restorations, the guys have also done great work on my newer cars, taking care of dings, scrapes and panel repaints.  I looked at a lot of shops before I found North Point 15 years ago.  Save yourself the time and start here--I already have my next restoration project in the cue with them!

Northpoint Restorations is THE pLace to go for work on your vehicLe. ANY vehicLe!! I took in my ‘62 Biscayne for Light bodywork and new rims. I can’t say enough about Marc and Gerard. Those guys are beyond amazing!! They not onLy took care of my car, but Marc went above and beyond on ordering the rims and tires as it was a rare offset and quite tricky. Gerard’s body and paintwork are exceptionaL. I decided to go with a power steering unit and aLthough Northpoint doesn’t  take on those types of projects, Marc found a pLace and took care of that transaction as well. Cherry on the Sundae, when the bill came, more than fair!! All in aLL, Northpoint Restorations is the one stop pLace to go for your Automotive project needs. They took my 1969 Camaro which was in very very rough condition and transformed it into an award winning show car! It won 4 First in Class Awards this season out of 4 car shows.  Their attention to detail is outstanding! Their service is excellent and professional. The crew at Northpoint Restoration  did an excellent job on restoring my 1971 Challenger. They already knew a ton of details about challengers that I wasn't even aware of , but also researched other details to make my car a more correct restoration. It has now been about 7 years since they finished my car and I am still surprised when people come up and comment how laser straight and beautiful the paint is. I would and have recommended Northpoint to several people. I not only consider Mark and Gerard as very talented people but also friends.

I brought my 2015 JEEP RENAGADE TO NORTH POINT, MET MARC HE TOOK CARE OF EVERYTHING FROM CONTACTING THE INSURANCE CLAIM AGENT TO GETTING ME A CAR RENTAL. AFTER 10 DAYS HE MADE MY CAR LOOKING LIKE NEW. WHAT A GREAT JOB THEY DID. NEEDED A SMALL ADJUSTMENTS AND BROUGHT BACK TO HIM FEW DAYS LATER AND HE HAD ME COMPLETED WITHIN MINUTES.  AGAIN MARC IS THE REAL DEAL. YOU WONT REGRET GOING TO HIM.

I cannot say enough about Mark and the guys who fixed my car after a wee incident at a gas station.
My car got bonked by the trailer hitch of a large truck backing up whose driver didn’t see me (not his fault, really, my car is small!).

The other driver contacted Mark and he had me bring my car over on Saturday.  I explained that both my husband and I are handicapped and we have just the one car but I had my daughter from PA staying the weekend, so could get around for a couple of days without but no more than that.  Asking if there was any chance my car could be fixed on Monday and picked up Tuesday AM, Mark said he’d see what he could do.

He called that same day, said to bring it in Monday and it would be ready Tuesday AM.  True to his word, Mark had my car ready and the work was excellent. Very professionally done, absolutely perfect!

I highly recommend North Point not only for their stellar work but excellent customer service as well.

Northpoint did a great job doing a full paint on my Firebird (part of a full rotisserie restoration).  I could go on like the many other reviews here about how good it looks etc, but the truth is other shops can make a car straight and shine (and Northpoint absolutely does).  What's more important and sets Northpoint apart is honesty and that they stand behind their work.  Restoration is much more difficult than repairing collision damage on new cars.  It always takes longer and is more expensive than you think and problems can and do happen.  It's the nature of touching 50+ year old vehicles that were not built nearly as good as today's cars are.  Well, problems happened on my car and Northpoint stood behind their work 100%. They easily could have argued and pointed fingers but instead they didn't hesitate to make my car perfect.  Mark and Gerard are honest and decent and fair, in addition to doing show winning work. I highly recommend them.
